Ian Santee '91
Ian T.T. Santee is the Deputy Director of the Honolulu Emergency Services Department, which is inclusive of the Emergency Medical Services Division, Ocean Safety Division, and City's Health Services. He is a proud 1991 Maryknoll School alumnus and graduate of the University of Hawaii’s paramedic program at Kapiolani Community College. He also holds a BA in Sociology and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Ian has worked at the City and County of Honolulu for almost 22 years as a paramedic, supervisor, and the last seven as the current deputy director.
Ian has helped train paramedics for ten years at Kapiolani Community College, who have gone on to serve our community throughout the state. He has trained paramedic students from Big Island Fire, Maui and Kauai paramedics, as well as American Samoa and Korea.
Ian is an active community volunteer and currently serves as Chair of the Central YMCA Board of Managers, representative to YMCA of Honolulu Finance committee, is an active CPR instructor through the American Heart Association, and is a member of the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians.
He is married to his wife Joy and has a daughter Keiriko, class of 2032.
