Maryknoll Community Center

Spartan Athletics

Maryknoll students from kindergarten through high school gather, practice and compete in the Maryknoll Community Center and Clarence T.C. Ching Gymnasium, a landmark building located on the Maryknoll Grade School campus at the corner of Dole Street and Alexander Street in Honolulu.

The 35,000-square-foot, three-story Maryknoll Community Center is a multipurpose, year-round gathering place for athletics, Mass, school assemblies and special events. When the Maryknoll Community Center opened in September 2009, it was the first campus structure in which the entire student body and all faculty and staff could gather at one time, the first gym in the school’s history, the only O‘ahu high school gym with an NBA-regulation basketball court and the only Hawai‘i high school gym with both central air-conditioning and soundproof insulation.

In addition to the gym facilities on the ground floor, the Maryknoll Community Center features 21st century classrooms and meeting space, an alumni hospitality room and a state-of-the-art fitness training center on the second floor.

Today, Maryknoll Spartans who are scholar-athletes train and play in this world-class facility under award-winning coaches who focus on each player’s skills, fundamentals and performance to develop championship-worthy sports teams. Alumni regularly gather at the Maryknoll Community Center to watch athletic games, utilize the fitness center, and reconnect with classmates and friends.
