At this year’s Noblesse Oblige Award & Scholarship Dinner, held on Saturday, October 18, at the Sheraton Waikiki, we proudly celebrated three remarkable members of our Maryknoll ‘ohana.
Shawn Alexander Ching ’26 received the Noblesse Oblige Scholarship, recognizing his outstanding academic achievements and dedication to serving others.
Bob and Lori Harrison were honored with the Noblesse Oblige Award for Service in recognition of their exceptional leadership and generous contributions to our community.
Mahalo and congratulations to all for inspiring us to live the Maryknoll motto of “Noblesse Oblige” — to whom much is given, much is expected.

Our Noblesse Oblige Award and Scholarship Dinner honors and preserves the spirit of Noblesse Oblige. At Maryknoll School, we experience firsthand how the spirit of Noblesse Oblige – to whom much is given, much is expected – can change lives. Each year, we continue working towards the vision of teaching our students skills that will lead them to become global citizens, following our school motto, Noblesse Oblige.
The Maryknoll School Noblesse Oblige Award for Service is given to those who devote their talent to the service of others. It honors those who provide examples and meaning to Maryknoll’s motto, Noblesse Oblige. This year, we are excited to honor two extraordinary individuals.
In addition to the Noblesse Oblige Endowed Scholarship, Maryknoll School is fortunate to have multiple endowed scholarships that have been established to honor the spirit of Maryknoll. Endowed scholarships provide sustainable, long-term support by generating interest income that is awarded as scholarships to current Maryknoll students.
