Maryknoll School Presidential Search

President Search Update: December 22, 2020

Dear School Community Members,

The Maryknoll School Presidential Search Committee has been working diligently over the last several months, with consultants from RG175, on the President Search, and we are pleased to share our progress with our Maryknoll community.

After receiving numerous inquiries and formal applications, RG175 consultants Dr. Jim Scott and Ms. Doreen Oleson completed extensive interviewing and vetting to narrow the candidate pool to present to the Search Committee.

In mid-December, the Search Committee reviewed the resumes and interviewed five strong semi-finalists. These interviews took place over two days and from those amazing individuals, we identified two finalists who will visit Maryknoll School in mid-January to meet the school board, administrators, and groups of faculty, staff, parents, students, and alumni of Maryknoll School for further evaluation.  These finalists will also have the opportunity to meet with Diocesan leadership during this time.

Kevin C. Baxter, Ed.D., is currently the Chief Innovation Officer at the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA), residing in Hermosa Beach, California.

Shana Tong, M.Ed., is currently serving as Interim President of Maryknoll School and she and her family resides in Honolulu, Hawaii.

We and the Search Committee extend our congratulations to the finalists and send our sincere appreciation to all candidates who expressed an interest in Maryknoll School’s next president.

We are grateful to the RG175 team – Dr. Scott and Ms. Oleson, for their exceptional leadership in directing the search process.  We would also like to thank the Maryknoll School Presidential Search Committee for their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to our beloved school.

The final announcement of the next President of Maryknoll School is scheduled for February 2021, following final interviews and Diocesan approval process.

Sincerely and In Christ,

Fr. EJ Resinto
