Maryknoll Loses Thriller in OT

Maryknoll battled #2 ranked Kamehameha tooth and nail before losing 69-65 in overtime. Frehmen Lilly Koki drained a 3 pointer off a pass by Jalen Tanuvasa just before the 4th quarter buzzer to send the game into overtime tied 57-57. The visiting Lady Spartans couldn't convert several opportunities in OT and eventually fell 69-65. It was a close game throughout with Maryknoll ahead by one after 3 quarters of play. The host Warriors jumped out to an 8 point 4th quarter lead only to see Maryknoll fight back, capped by Koki's game tying bomb. Jalen Tanuvasa was spectacular on the offensive end scoring a game high 28 points. Sereneity Moananu added 14. Mahalo and Aloha Akaka battled the bigger Kamehameha post players all game long. It was a great game despite the loss. Maryknoll will next host MPI on Friday, 12/14 at the MCC. Gametime has been changed to 7:30pm.
