Wow, the time sure flies by. When I entered my first child, Nicole, in Kindergarten, I knew the school was a great fit for her under your leadership. You were very personable and welcomed us with opened arms. I'm not aware of any other school President who played the role of "Santa" as you did the year my daughter entered the school. You even met with my wife and I for breakfast at the Pacific Club to "talk story" which we thought was a real thrill and not something we expected but was very memorable.
My kids just completed 8th grade and 5th grade and are enjoying the experience while maintaining good grades and lasting relationships. My daughter has also been a member of the Intermediate Pac-5 soccer team where they won the Division 1 & 2 Championship this past season. She earned the Student-Athlete award last year and is striving to repeat again this year. When my son graduates in 2027, he will share the experience with the rest of his class as being part of the 100th anniversary of the school.
The various events that you put on such as "Pupus with the President"
showed your genuine concern and interest in the well-being of the students and parents.
You have done great things for Maryknoll School and made lasting impressions on our family that we will treasure forever. We will miss you and wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. Know that wherever you go, good things will happen. Take care and Aloha!
