Class of 2020 Recognized with Memory Lane Drive Through and Cap and Gown Days
Over the last week, our campus was filled with joy, excitement, and laughter as our Class of 2020 seniors participated in two celebration and recognition events!
Memory Lane Drive Through Day
On Saturday, May 23rd, our school community came together to celebrate our Class of 2020 seniors as they picked up their caps and gowns for their virtual graduation ceremony! To help with the “Memory Lane” distribution and to make the event even more special, our faculty, staff, and alumni were on hand to help celebrate and cheer on the seniors as they drove through our campus! Social distancing, in addition to other health and wellness guidelines, were in place during this drive-through only event to ensure the well-being of all involved. The Maryknoll PTA, Project Grad 2020 Committee and Maryknoll Alumni Association also handed out gifts and “spartan swag” to our soon-to-be graduates, including a special gift-pack and bento from
La Tour Cafe with the help of CEO Trung Lam ‘99! Mahalo to these amazing volunteers and community partners for coming out and helping to make this event special!
Cap and Gown Photo Day
Over the last two days, our Class of 2020 seniors arrived on campus for their official “Cap and Gown” photos and videos. Seniors walked through campus and received their diplomas from Principal John Madriaga and took their official graduation portraits. Faculty and staff members lined Rogers Hall to cheer on our graduates as they took the stage for their photo.
In one week, we’ll be officially recognizing our Class of 2020 seniors with our Virtual Graduation Celebration on Friday, June 5th! The celebration will begin at 6:00 PM and will be broadcast on Hawaii News Now’s K5 “The Home Team” (KFVE) - Spectrum Channel 22 / 1022 or Hawaiian Telecom Channel 13 / 1013. The celebration will also be airing on HawaiiNewsNow.com! ⠀
