Today is #GivingTuesdayNow!
Today is #GivingTuesdayNow, a global day of giving and unity. Now more than ever, we are called upon to make a difference. Generosity gives everyone the power to make a positive change in the lives of others and is a fundamental value anyone can act on. You can show your generosity in a variety of ways during #GivingTuesdayNow:
- Volunteer to create masks for those in need: As a way to give back and serve those in need for #GivingTuesdayNow, we invite members of our school community to create fabric masks for Lanakila Pacific and Navian Hawaii (formerly Hospice Hawaii). If you are interested, click here to sign up. Mask kit pick-ups are today, May 5th, from 9:00 am – 11:00 am at the Grade School Campus pick-up line (enter through Alexander Street and exit onto Dole Street).
- Volunteer in other ways: If you are unable to create masks, have your child write a letter or draw a picture for a kupuna. We will collect these letters and cards on May 22nd between 9:00 am – 11:00 am at the Grade School Campus pick-up line (enter through Alexander Street and exit onto Dole Street). The letters and cards will be distributed, along with the fabric masks, to kupuna at Lanakila Pacific.
- You can also find your own way to give back! Volunteer and serve with the Kupuna Needs Project, reach out to elderly relatives and neighbors to make sure they are OK, clean out your closets and donate your clothes to non-profits who need them, or anything else you can think of to brighten someone’s day safely.
If you have any questions about how to get involved or how to share your time, talents, or resources, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 808-952-7310. Our Institutional Advancement Team is here to help you make a difference.
On behalf of all of us at Maryknoll School, thank you for being a part of our community. We wish you and your family health, safety, and happiness and want you to know that together, we can overcome all things.
