Severe Weather Reminder - November 19, 2019
Aloha Maryknoll Families,
As many of you may be aware, our island and the entire state have recently been affected by severe weather over the last few days. Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds have been impacting many of our communities and we want to ensure you are all safe during this severe weather. As of 5:00PM today, the entire state is under a Flash Flood Watch, issued by the National Weather Service
Please note that at this time, Maryknoll School will remain open.
Should conditions change that cause our school to alter our current plans to remain open, we will inform you as soon as possible via our Blackboard Connect Notification System and email. Updates will also be posted to our school website (www.maryknollschool.org
, and our social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
). Please continue to monitor these information sources throughout the evening.
Student-athletes participating in sports should check with their coaches and monitor myMaryknoll for the latest information on postponements and cancellations.
While the severe weather has not impacted Maryknoll School at this time, the effects of the weather may be felt differently at your places of work and your homes. Parents should make the best possible decision for their children with regard to their attendance at school tomorrow. Please note that students who are tardy or absent due to issues or emergencies related to the severe weather will not be penalized. If your child is unable to attend school tomorrow or will be tardy, please be sure to notify us by calling or emailing our Grade & Middle School or High School offices.
