Congratulations to the Class of 2026!

Maryknoll School
On Friday, June 5, 2026, Maryknoll School proudly celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2026 during its 92nd Annual Commencement Exercises at the Neal S. Blaisdell Arena. The evening brought together students, families, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends to honor a class whose journey has been defined by resilience, faith, and service.
The celebration of the Class of 2026 extended beyond Commencement Day through a series of meaningful traditions that define the Maryknoll experience.

Graduation festivities began with Baccalaureate Mass, where seniors, families, faculty, and staff gathered in prayer and thanksgiving. Rooted in Maryknoll's Catholic identity, the Mass offered an opportunity to reflect on the journey that brought this class to such an important milestone and to seek God's guidance as graduates prepared to embark on their next chapter.

Later that evening, the Class of 2026 took the stage at the historic Hawaiʻi Theatre for Class Night, an evening dedicated to celebrating the memories, friendships, accomplishments, and experiences that shaped their years at Maryknoll. One of the evening's most cherished traditions was the Passing of the Torch ceremony, symbolizing the legacy entrusted to future generations of Spartans and the enduring spirit of Noblesse Oblige.

The following evening, the Maryknoll community gathered once again at the Neal S. Blaisdell Arena for the 92nd Annual Commencement Exercises, marking the official culmination of the graduates' journey as students and the beginning of their lifelong connection as Maryknoll alumni.

The ceremony was emceed by Jeremy Ramos '07, Student Life Coordinator, and opened with an invocation by Rev. Nicholas Apetorgbor, Parochial Vicar of Sacred Heart Church and Maryknoll School. Graduates and guests heard inspiring reflections from Valedictorian Adelais Myra Pettit '26 and Top HPU Student Maddison Ito '26 before welcoming this year's commencement speaker, Dr. Andria Tupola, Councilmember for the City & County of Honolulu (District 1), who encouraged graduates as they prepared to embrace new opportunities and responsibilities.

The Class of 2026 also honored Maryknoll traditions by performing "Puʻu Malia" by Mailani Makainai '98 and concluded the evening united in song with the Maryknoll Alma Mater, led by Virginia Lum '72.

Diplomas and senior awards were presented by Rev. Eseese Ace Tui, President and Head of School Shana Tong '83, and Principal and Academic Visionary Carol Chong. The evening concluded with the President's Commendation and a final blessing, sending forth the graduates with the support and prayers of the entire Maryknoll community.

Founded upon the values of Noblesse Oblige, "To Whom Much is Given, Much is Expected," Maryknoll School celebrates not only the accomplishments of its newest alumni but also the character, compassion, and commitment they carry into the world.
