Maryknoll in the Media: 21st Annual Kekumano Scholarship Dinner
Maryknoll Marketing & Communications
With the 2019 Kekumano Scholarship Dinner just a day away, we can't help but share parts of the evening that will be extra special for our guests. Over the last few weeks, we were able to share more about this important scholarship dinner with HI Now Daily and Hawaii News Now, along with Living808 and KHON2.
Anna Wu '20, our 2019 Top Kekumano Scholarship Recipient, and Mr. Chasen St. Onge '09, student services coordinator and past Kekumano Scholar, were featured on HI Now Daily through Hawaii News Now to talk more about the dinner and the importance of service.
Our Kekumano Dinner is also extra special this year, thanks to Class of 2019 seniors, Anika Liang and Sasha Matsunami and their amazing cupcakes! For their senior capstone project, Anika and Sasha combined their love and talent for baking with a business plan and started their own cupcake business, LM Cupcakes! They were also featured on Living808 on KHON2 to share more about their cupcakes and business!
We are also blessed to have our Spartan Jazz Band as part of our dinner's entertainment lineup for the evening! The Spartan Jazz Band puts in hours of practice and will be playing for our guests at the Kekumano Dinner. Living808 caught up with our band during practice last week!
