Join us tonight at the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium @ 7pm to witness our Lady Spartans battle Iolani for the 2022 State Title! You can also catch the game on live TV at 6:45pm on Spectrum OC16.
  • Fourth-grader Meets Taikonauts at Chinese Embassy in Washington, D.C.!

    Fourth-grader Ayhan Ulusemre '30 was recently invited to attend an exclusive event at the Chinese Embassy in Washington, D.C., where Elon Musk and members of NASA were in attendance. Over 300 American students from 20 schools in 13 states submitted questions to three Chinese astronauts aboard the Tiangong space station, and Ayhan was one of the eight students whose question was chosen to be shared and answered by them.
  • Special Guest Performance for our Maryknoll School Choir!

    Earlier today, our Maryknoll School Choir was fortunate to host a special performance by the OC Times Quartet, an international Barbershop Harmony Quartet Society Champions performing at the Hawaii Theatre tomorrow night. Choir students got to participate in vocal activities and marveled at the sounds from this amazing award-winning group!

  • Pupukahi i Holomua — Lei Day 2022

    Hoʻ omaikaʻ iana Spartans, on a wonderful Lei Day program! This year's program, entitled "Pūpūkahi i Holomua" — Unite to Move Forward, was led by our Hawaiian 3 & 4 class students featuring 8th grade and high school students who have been working hard to showcase their love for the culture in this place we call home. We wanted to send a huge mahalo to all of this year's participating students, faculty, volunteers, and advisor Kumu H. Kaʻ oi Arakaki-Pedro for making this special day happen for our community to enjoy.
  • Speech Team Named Top District Team by NSDA

    Our Maryknoll Speech Team recently received recognition as the Top District Team in Hawaii by the National Speech and Debate Association Big! We also wanted to congratulate again Sophia Etscheit '25, Kawena Kamai-Tuiteleleapaga '24, Kaya Pettit '24, Noah Chang '22, and Sophia Mogi '23 for medalling at the State Tournament!
  • Civil Air Patrol Change of Command Ceremony

    In partnership with the Hawaii Civil Air Patrol (CAP), Maryknoll School hosted a Change of Command Ceremony on Saturday, April 9, in MCC Gym. The event formally initiated the transfer of command from Col. John Henry Felix, a highly decorated military leader, Maryknoll CAP Squadron Commander, and former Honolulu City Councilmember to 1st Lt. Denton Alvarado, a 2016 Maryknoll alumnus and original CAP cadet graduate. This marked the first time in the program’s history that a cadet, who has graduated from both the respective school and program, will receive the honorable role of Commander.
  • Spartans in the HSL13 Hawaii State Speech Tournament!

    🏆 Congratulations to our Maryknoll HS Speech Team for an amazing job competing in this year's HSL13 Hawaii State Speech Tournament this past Saturday! Speech club members have been meeting regularly throughout the school year, and their hard work resulted in placing in the finals round for the following categories:

    🏐 Congratulations to our Spartans for a huge win tonight and our Class of 2022 volleyball players for an amazing season! Join us next Monday, April 11, @ 6 pm as our Spartans kick off the ILH State Tournament against HBA on our home court!
  • Bigs & Littles Program: Grades 7 & 1

    Today, our 7th-graders (c/o 2027) and 1st-graders (c/o 2033) got together for the first time this year and had some fun in the sun! They enjoyed a mixture of activities to help the "littles" with movement, expression, and communication. Activities included a relay race, origami, and Spartan fellowship. For over 30 years, this annual program has allowed our students to foster unlikely friendships and opportunities for fellowship and camaraderie
  • Spartechs Competing in FRC 2022 Hawaii Regional

    We invite you to join us on Saturday to cheer on our #MaryknollSpartechs Robotics Team as they compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition Hawaii Regional at the UH Mānoa Stan Sheriff Center over the next two days after months of hard work, preparation, and planning! This event is free and open to the public. Led by Dr. Aaron Tamura-Sato, we wish the best of luck to our Spartechs!
  • CTL Fellow Jasmine Rocha '23

    Maryknoll junior Jasmine Rocha '23 serves on this year's cohort for the Center for Tomorrow's Leaders Fellows Program. She joins a mix of 20 selected juniors and seniors from both public and private high schools who receive the opportunity to collaborate with C-Suite community leaders and volunteer on projects that have an island-wide impact.
  • Spartan Run 2022 Surpasses $20,000 Goal!

    Despite the sporadic afternoon rain, our Spartan K-8 grade students excitedly ran, walked, and cheered each other on in our first in-person Spartan Run since the start of the pandemic. Our middle school students paired with their grade school littles to carefully guide them, while the third, fourth, and fifth graders ran with their classmates.

    Our HS Math Department hosted their annual π Day event at MCC Gym with math trivia challenges and a dodgeball tournament between each grade! Since 3/14 occurs during the Spring Break holidays this year, our HS community gathered last Friday to celebrate with other schools nationwide.

  • 7th Grade Laie Experience 2022

    Our 7th graders recently participated in a multi-day overnight field trip that was a cultural study of the migration of Pacific Islanders throughout Polynesia. Students rolled up their sleeves to work in the loʻi at Kualoa Ranch, played a game of ulu maika and used traditional methods of fishing at Polynesian Cultural Center, and experienced the diverse cultures of Polynesia in many other ways throughout the three-day trip!

    The Office of Extended Learning is excited to announce that registration for our Summer Programs 2022 is now open. All summer programs on the grade school campus will be in-person. Our high school summer program will offer in-person and virtual learning.

    Last Wednesday, the Class of 2022 gathered at Sacred Heart Church to celebrate their "100 Days Until Graduation", an annual tradition that began in 1997 where the senior class heard from faculty and staff members, who impart words of wisdom, advice, and experience to while recognizing this special milestone.

They will be facing 'Iolani tonight for a chance to defend their back-to-back state title against #1 ranked Saint Louis for the ILH Championship Title – LET’S GO SPARTANS!

    Today was a day of celebration as we held our Founders Day Mass: 110th Anniversary of the Founding of the Maryknoll Sisters — joining our school community in worship and commemoration. Following the mass, our Maryknoll Sisters then toured the campus, visited our young Keiki, and delivered their traditional frozen desserts to students, capping the day with smiles.

  • NHS Annual Blood Drive Partnership with Blood Bank Hawaii

    🩸 In partnership with the Blood Bank of Hawaii, our Maryknoll School National Honor Society is hosting its annual blood drive and asking for your support to save our Hawaii hospitals from the critically low supplies of blood they have been recently facing. The Blood Bank said 150 donors are needed a day to meet the demand. Right now it's seeing about half that number.
  • We Did It!! – Spartan Giving Day 2022

    Our Maryknoll community is truly amazing! Yesterday, 500 alumni, parents, faculty, staff, students and friends came together to support the school we love. Together, we raised $58,758 (and counting!) and unlocked $30,000 in #SpartanGivingDay challenge funds, for a grand total of over $88,000+!
    Mahalo for your generous support, because of donors and friends like you, our young Spartans have access to amazing faculty, supportive student services, and academic excellence, all rooted in the Catholic faith.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention authorized booster doses of Pfizer’s Covid vaccine for kids ages 12 and up.
