Cheer On Our Spartan Basketball Teams This Week!
Aloha Spartan Fans!
It’s another historic moment for Maryknoll Athletics! Our Girls and Boys Varsity Division 1 Basketball teams have been ranked #1 in the state for two weeks running and both teams are headed to their respective HHSAA State Tournaments! This is the first time since the beginning of team rankings in Hawaii that two teams from the same school have been ranked #1 at the same time!
GIRLS VARSITY BASKETBALL
Our Lady Spartans (26-2 overall; 12-0 in the ILH) have won their fourth straight ILH crown and will play as the No. 1 seed in the quarterfinals of the Snapple/HHSAA Girls Basketball State Tournament tomorrow night, February 1st, taking on Kamehameha School-Maui at 7:00PM at Moanalua High School. The semifinals take place at the Neil Blaisdell Arena at 7:00PM on Friday, February 2nd. The tournament culminates with the state championship game at the Neil Blaisdell Arena at 7:00PM on Saturday, February 3rd.

BOYS VARSITY BASKETBALL
Our Boys Basketball Team (23-4 overall; 8-1 in the ILH) garnered all 10 first-place ballots in the Star-Advertiser Boys Basketball Top 10. On Tuesday night, they clinched a state tournament berth by beating Kamehameha 55-43. Our Spartans begin their quest for an ILH Championship Title on Saturday, February 3rd in the semi-finals of the ILH post-season tournament, playing at McKinley High School at 5:00PM.
