Spring Enrichment Programs 2023

The payment process for parents through Tuition Management is:
  1. To access Tuition Management, login to MyMaryknoll school account

  2. Click on Resource tab

  3. You will then see a bunch of tiles (boxes). Click on the tile that reflect Tuition Management

  4. This will redirect you to Tuition Management. Ensure you are in the 2022-23SY

  5. Click on Purchase Optional Items

  6. Select student; select fee to pay. Save.

  7. Check on 2 boxes to consent to agreement; click Agree to continue.

  8. Pay Now. Check Out. Note: if paying by debit or credit card, a 2.9% convenience fee will be assessed. If paying by checking or savings, no fee will be charged.

  • Art and Mindfulness 

    Each class will begin with a community mural drawing. Followed by mindful practice, journaling, and an art activity. Modalities include working with clay, painting, drawing, collage, and mask making. Class ends with a sharing circle.
     
    January 6th – March 24th (No class on February 3rd and March 17th): 10 classes
    • 1st class grades K -2 Friday 2:30 – 3:30pm
    • 2nd class grades 3-5 Friday 3:30 – 4:30pm
     
    Maximum class participants per class - 20
    ASC Student $400.00 for 10 sessions
    Non-ASC Student $500.00 for 10 sessions plus ASC for class date only.
  • Breaks R4 Kidz

    The Breaks R4 Kidz program is an immersive Hip-hop experience tailored specifically to bring out our students' creative and athletic potential. Through the practice of Break Dance, our students learn fundamental habits we hold in high regard in the Hawaii Hip-hop Community, such as peace, love, unity, safely having fun, respect, and aloha.
     
     January 4th – March 8th: 10 classes
    • 1st class grades K-2 Wednesday 2:30 – 3:30pm
    • 2nd class grades 3 – 5 Wednesday 3:30 – 4:30pm
    Maximum class participants per class - 12
    ASC Student $400.00 for 10 sessions
    Non-ASC Student $500.00 for 10 sessions plus ASC for class date only.
  • Character Education 

    This course teaches students practical skills for understanding and managing their emotions, setting goals, getting organized, understanding, and getting along with others in our diverse world, and making good decisions. Research shows that people who practice these skills have greater academic achievement as students and experience more success and satisfaction as adults.
     
    January 10th – May 11th: 34 sessions (No classes on March 14, 16)
     
    Grades 6, 7, and 8 Tuesday and Thursday 3:00 – 4:30pm
    ASC Student $750.00 for 34 on-campus sessions
    Non-ASC Student $950.00 for 34 on-campus sessions plus ASC for class dates only.

    This is an on-campus, online class. Students provide their own laptops and headphones to every class.
  • Computer Science

    A computer is a student's most important tool. Learn how to type and use keyboard functions to handle everyday computer skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Explorer. Learn both PC and Mac! 
     
    January 4th – March 8th: 10 classes
    • 1st class grades K-2 Wednesday 2:30 – 3:30pm
    • 2nd class grades 3-5 Wednesday 3:30 – 4:30pm

  • Hawaiian Language

    Hawaiian is one of the world’s most indigenous languages, known for its unique identity, cultural history, community traditions, and forms of communication throughout the islands. The Hawaiian language ‘Olelo Hawaii, came to the shores of Hawaii along with the first people to arrive from the ancestral homelands of Polynesia. Students will learn the history of this language and how it has evolved into one of the most beautiful forms of communication. From basic Hawaiian words to pronunciation tips, students will uncover this endangered language of the most beautiful islands on earth.

    January 5th – March 9th: 10 classes
    • 1st class grades 1-3 Thursday 2:30 – 3:30pm
    • 2nd class grades 4-8 Thursday 3:30 – 4:30pm

  • Keyboarding

    This keyboarding course is appropriate for elementary and middle school students. The curriculum introduces new keys by rows, where students first learn the middle row, then the top row, and then the bottom row of the keyboard. The content focuses on sight and high-frequency words. This course assumes no keyboarding experience and will guide students across the keyboard. 
     
    Student-Provided Required Physical Materials:
    Students will need a computer or laptop for this course; tablets are insufficient.

  • LEGO Engineering

    Our Future Engineers After School curriculum by Bricks 4 Kidz introduces kids to concepts of engineering, coding, architecture, and mechanics using LEGO! Students learn how to build machines, buildings, vehicles, and one-of-a-kind models designed by Bricks 4 Kidz. Each week they will build a new project using LEGO Technics components like gears, axels, and beams while exploring the principles of engineering, architecture, physics, and mechanics. We encourage CREATIVITY and FUN!
     
    January 10th – March 21st (No class on March 14th): 10 classes
    • 1st class grades K-1 Tuesday 2:30 – 3:30pm 
    • 2nd class grades 2-3 Tuesday 3:30 – 4:30 pm

  • Sports Jam Academy

    Sports Jam Academy offers a safe, fun, and exciting sports and fitness program! Your child will be introduced to basic training skills and drills in various team sports, including Football, Volleyball, Soccer, and Baseball. We emphasize health, wellness, and teamwork while learning positive life lessons and building friendships through team sports.
     
    February 14th – April 25th (No class on March 14th): 10 classes
    • 1st class grades K – 1 Tuesday 2:30 – 3:30pm 
    • 2nd class grades 2 – 3 Tuesday 3:45 – 4:45pm
    Maximum class participants per class – 10 
    ASC Students $200.00 for 10 sessions
    Non-ASC Student $300.00 for 10 sessions plus ASC after for the class date only.
  • Study Skills & Strategies

    The Study Skills and Strategies course equips students with skills and understandings critical to effective learning. Using a unique approach to the traditional topic of study skills, this course weaves understanding regarding the role of the brain in learning into the instruction of discrete learning skills and strategies. Moving beyond a list of good tips and ideas, the Study Skills and Strategies course will challenge students to develop intentional approaches to learning.
     
    They will be required to make connections between the strategies and skills they learn in this course and the implementation of those strategies and skills in their other coursework. Upon completion of the course, students will have learned a variety of specific learning skills and strategies, gained a greater understanding of their own learning preferences, and become prepared to develop and implement specific learning and study plans for any academic course or other learning needs.

  • Tutor Time

    Every parent's dream is to have their child tutored every week in almost every subject! Improve your child's subjects that need strengthening. A great way to improve grades and one of our most popular classes offered!
     
    January 10th – May 9th: 17 sessions (No tutoring on March 14th)
    • 1st class grades K-3 Tuesday 2:30 – 3:30pm
    • 2nd class grades 4-8 Tuesday 3:30 – 4:30pm
    Maximum class participants per class - 20
    ASC Student $765.00 for 17 sessions
    Non-ASC Student $915.00 for 17 sessions plus ASC for tutoring date only.
  • Wood Working

    Learn how to build fun objects from wood. Learn design, mathematics, measuring, cutting, and fastening in a safe manner. All supplies provided.
     
    January 10th – March 21st (No class on March 14th): 10 classes

    • 2nd class grades 6-8 Tuesday 3:30 – 4:30pm
