Rooted in the Catholic faith, Maryknoll School is a nurturing and welcoming community that values academic excellence, lifelong learning, service to others, and the courage to imitate Jesus by word and example.
The students at Maryknoll School are welcomed into a small school setting where personal development and scholastic achievement are emphasized equally. As a Diocesan, Catholic, co-educational institution, Maryknoll School is committed to providing each student with a quality education through cultivation of knowledge, self-discipline, creativity, and spiritual and physical growth.
Maryknoll strives to go beyond academics by developing individuals of moral integrity and personal responsibility. Students are encouraged to discover social attitudes through the exercise of justice, respect, and equality without regard to religious, social, or cultural background. Maryknoll School aspires to prepare its students for the modern world by encouraging them to work intelligently with others to build a society of lasting peace and justice.
High School-aged students are challenged by our Essential School philosophy, which dictates: Less is more, depth over coverage, personalization of teaching and learning, and student as worker, teacher as coach. Our Grade School's academic program is designed to challenge and enrich, with each student learning from—as well as contributing to—the program to the best of his or her capability.
Graduation requirements prepare your child for continued education in the college environment. One of the requirements is completion of a comprehensive senior project, where students demonstrate their depth of knowledge, creativity, and ability to do research spanning several disciplines.
