How do I apply for financial aid?

In order to determine a family’s eligibility to receive financial aid, Maryknoll requires that all applicants complete the Parents Financial Statement (PFS) with the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) in Randolph, Massachusetts.

  • You may complete a PFS online at (beginning November 1, 2013) or submit a PFS directly to SSS. Be sure to enter Maryknoll School’s code (4913) on the form and include the appropriate fee to:

Financial Aid forms for the 2014-2015 academic year are available online at or contact Maryknoll School's Office of Admission for a packet.

  • February 21, 2014

Complete the Parent's Financial Statement (PFS) online or send your completed form to SSS. *It is important that you meet all deadlines so that your financial aid file is complete for review by Maryknoll School's Financial Aid Committee.

  • April 2014

Families of newly-admitted students (grades 6-12) that meet the February 21 Financial Aid deadline will receive decision letters in early April.

  • May 2014

Families of newly-admitted students (grades K-5) that meet the February 21 Financial Aid deadline will receive decision letters in early May.

Who can apply?

Any student currently enrolled in or applying for admission to Maryknoll School may apply for financial aid. However, financial assistance will only be awarded to newly accepted students and current students who are enrolled for the following school year and whose tuition account is current.

How are the awards distributed?

The Financial Aid Committee attempts to distribute awards in the most equitable manner possible. In determining the actual size of a student’s financial aid award, the committee considers not only each family’s level of need, but also the funds currently available for financial aid.

How is financial need determined?

Maryknoll depends upon the assistance of the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) to help determine the approximate family contribution. Recommendations made by SSS are reviewed by the Financial Aid Committee and adjustments may be made. The family’s total income and assets, number of children attending tuition charging schools, housing costs, medical expenses, debt obligations, and other special circumstances are all considered.

Why have a financial aid program?

Maryknoll offers limited financial aid to assist deserving students who lack the resources to meet the full cost of a Maryknoll education. It is important to keep in mind, however, that while we try to assist as many qualified students as possible with the limited resources that we have, financing a private school education remains the primary responsibility of the family.

Is financial assistance automatically renewed?

Financial aid awards are made for one year, thus, parents requesting financial assistance must reapply each year. Also, to be considered for further assistance, each student receiving aid must contribute positively to the school community, maintain an acceptable academic standing, and demonstrate positive social behavior.

All financial aid information is strictly confidential.

Admission decisions and financial aid awards are kept separate. Requesting financial aid in no way jeopardizes your child’s opportunity for admission to Maryknoll School.
