Concrete pour #2 (April 28, 2008)

The first concrete pour for the Maryknoll School Community Center took place on April 15 -- the same day that subcontractor Ameron Hawaii (the largest producer of concrete on Oahu) was celebrating its 100th birthday!

March 27, 2007

On March 27, 2007, the apartment building on the corner of Alexander and Dole streets was demolished to make way for the construction of the new Maryknoll School Community Center.

Once the demolition was cleaned up, Grade School teachers and students wasted no time decorating the construction fence in an effort to dissuade would-be graffiti artists. Read KHON's story by Ron Mizutani or The Honolulu Advertiser's coverage by Gregory Yamamoto (Firefox browser recommended).
