PowerPoint Poetry Presentation

Form a group of 3-4 people with whom you have not previously worked.

Your Task

Using the technology of PowerPoint and your own creative poems, create a presentation for the class.

Process

Each person in the group is to write 1 new shih, 1 old shih, 2 haiku, and 2 tanka. Make sure that the author is listed on each poem!

Using the poems you have written, create a presentation that uses interesting text, pictures, and effects to explain the different types of poems and display your poetic efforts.  You may use drawn pictures, clipart, or digital photos for pictures.  You may also use downloaded music, sound effects, or recorded music to create moods.

Save the Presentation to a disk and turn it in after the presentation.

Evaluation

This presentation will be evaluated on your adherence to good PowerPoint presentation characteristics and on the quality of your written work.  Also considered will be  your cooperation and collaborative efforts.
