The Task:
You are the curators of a holocaust museum. Your task is to
design an effective exhibit that covers the events, people, and places of
your assigned area. Your purpose is to show how diversity and
conflict can lead to injustice.
The Process:
Form a group of
3-5 students to organize one of the following virtual
museum rooms:
The "Final Solution"
Japanese War Atrocities
Japanese-American Internment
Genocide around the World
The Product:
Create a virtual museum exhibit for your room that will entice
visitors, teach lessons, and promote thinking in your audience. The
rooms should be visually interesting and factually correct. Any
pictures, archives, or information that you get from print or web sources
need to be cited. A list of the "curators" in your group
and a bibliography of your research should be included as one of your web
pages.
Evaluation:
You will be
evaluated on the Accuracy, Content, Objectivity, and Currency of
your displays. Visual elements, design, consistency, and ease of
movement between displays will also be considered.
