College Visits

College Visits at Maryknoll
Each year Maryknoll host approximately 100 - 125 colleges/universities to our campus. Click on the name of the school (list below) and it will "link" you to their home page.  The visiting representatives will share with our students and allow students to ask questions concerning the school and their admissions/application process.  Students are advised to look at this web page as schools are updated on a daily basis.

What does the process entail?

Seniors have priority to these visits. All interested students must sign up with Mrs. Manlansing in room 241 at least 3 days prior to the date of the college visit. The student then receives a "yellow pass" from their Advisory teacher the morning of the visit. The student must bring this "yellow pass" with them as their enter the room. Teachers will permit the student to attend if there is no test, guest speaker or field trip scheduled during this time.  The student is responsible for any information or lesson missed while attending the college visit.

College visits usually last about forty five minutes.
Students listen to a presentation discussing the admission process (need for a completed application, official transcripts, standardized test scores, personal statement and letter of evaluations) as well as the need to apply early to be eligible for specific scholarships, financial aid and housing. Depending on the school, students may also hear about student life, athletics as well as study abroad opportunities. The student must return to class in forty five minutes or be subject to diciplinary action.
