Welcome to Maryknoll Athletics!

WHAT MAKES MARYKNOLL ATHLETICS SPECIAL?

Maryknoll School is the only school in the State of Hawaii that participates in three different leagues. Student athletes may participate on an athletic team starting from the Grade 5 through Grade 12. The Interscholastic League of Honolulu (ILH) services our student athletes in, grades 7–12 in 31 different sports. The Catholic School League (CSL) provides more opportunities for our 7th and 8th grade student athletes, and allows our 5th and 6th graders to participate in Track & Field. The Christian Schools Athletic League (CSAL) gives our 5th and6 th graders an opportunity to represent the school in Volleyball and Basketball.

Since 1973, Maryknoll School has been a member of the Pac-Five athletic program, which gives our student athletes from small ILH schools a chance to participate in a wider variety of sports that demand numbers and/or special facilities.

Maryknoll fields over 115 different teams in 38 different sports, including teams with Pac-Five.

We also participate in Summer Athletic Programs, which are crucial to the progression and development of our athletic program.

We have 100+ paid and volunteer coaches. 12 of our coaches are also Maryknoll teachers, including former University of Hawaii Basketball Wahine Michelle Gabriel.

Of the more than 900 students from grades 5th through 12th who are eligible to participate in athletics, 600 of them play at least one sport. The majority of them are multi-sport athletes.

Maryknoll provides an unprecedented number of teams for our younger athletes, many of whom are just beginning to take an interest in athletics. We field teams in Volleyball, Basketball and Track & Field for our 5th through 6th graders. Teams ranging in sports from Baseball, Basketball, Bowling, Cheerleading, Cross Country, Football, Gymnastics, Soccer, Softball, Swimming, Tennis, Track & Field, Volleyball, Water Polo, and Wrestling are available for students in grades 7th through 12th.
